The ITA has rolled out a new membership and competition tool platform for ITA members.
This new system replaces R2 Sports effective immediately.
As this is a new platform, all programs will start with a blank slate. You will not use prior R2 Sports usernames and passwords to access this system. Instead, you will create a single username and password during the membership renewal process and this username and password combination will be the only one you need across ITA platforms.
Currently, this new platform provides you the ability to renew your membership, add staff to your team profile, add players to your roster, and sanction and administer fall tournaments. New features will continue to be provided over the course of the next few months, including the ability to schedule dual matches and enter dual match results. If you participate in dual matches prior to the release of this feature, you will be able to retroactively enter those dual match results once the feature becomes available.
Your participation in this process is vital to the overall success of this new platform. At this time, we ask that each current or prospective ITA member complete the checklist below as soon as possible. As you will see through the links below, we have and will continue to provide support as you navigate this new platform.
If you are planning on participating in an ITA sanctioned, regional or national event this fall, you must add players to your roster so their tournament results can be entered. Beginning this fall, if you are running an ITA sanctioned tournament (including hidden duals) you will now have access to a tournament management system where you can create and publish draws for your event. This new tournament management system will be the sole way of entering sanctioned tournament results. While this process can occur “post-event”, the ultimate goal is for everyone to set up and administer their tournaments and hidden duals on this system in real-time. In order to achieve this, we ask that you sanction and begin familiarizing yourself with the tournament desk platform as soon as possible. If you wait until the week of your tournament to begin this process, you will most likely end up needing a level of support that the ITA and its partners cannot provide.
To summarize, below is a checklist for all coaches that will help prepare you for the 2021-22 season:
- Renew your ITA Team Membership
- Add your assistant coaches and SIDs on your ITA Team Workspace. (Here’s how.)
- Add your players to your team roster
- Sanction & administer your fall tournaments. If you are running an ITA Regional your event will be sanctioned automatically for you for free.
- Familiarize yourself with the new ITA Coaches Resources site
- View new technology webinars (see list of recorded and upcoming sessions)
Once again, thank you for your participation and your patience as the ITA rolls out this new and exciting project. Once fully completed, we believe this platform will provide a significant upgrade to the college tennis experience for coaches, players, administrators, and fans.
