Registration for the 2021 ITA Coaches Convention is now open! Join us this year in Las Vegas, Nevada for Coach Education sessions, networking, and a bit of fun. The Convention is from December 3-6, 2021 at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
After many years at the Naples Grande Resort in Florida, it was time to move the convention out west for a couple of years to capture coaches from different parts of the country who could not travel to Florida in December to enjoy this great event. Regardless of what part of the country you are from, we really hope we can see you in person this year.
The Convention is open to all ITA coach members — head and assistant coaches alike!
Learn from experts in their fields on topics that range from fundraising to mental health to diversity & inclusion matters along with a number of engaging on-court presentations at the Darling Center Tennis. Below are a select number of speakers that will be at this year’s conference — the full speaker list and schedule of events will be announced on September 21st.
- Latina Tennis Coach: Nadia Abdala & Clarisse Baca
- Martin Blackman
- CoachRaise: Wade Garard & Julian Moses
- Dr. Tiff Jones
- Gil Reyes
Universal Tennis will be hosting a College Showcase on December 3rd & 4th as well as their new Junior National Pathway Championships from December 5-8th. This will allow you to combine your educational, networking and recruiting needs all in one great location.
The College Coach Opportunity Grants are aimed at helping minority coaches attend Convention and continue their Coach Education. The Grants cover registration costs and provide a $700 travel stipend to five coaches. Interested coaches should fill out the Grant form.
The ITA is partnering with CoachRaise to help coaches learn and develop fundraising skills at the 2021 Coaches Convention. CoachRaise will be conducting two 50 minute sessions on December 5th and 6th that will be open to all of the coaches in attendance. Additionally, they will offer a 2.5 hour workshop on Monday, December 6th from 12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m. for 50 coaches. These spots will be awarded to the first 50 coaches who register for the convention and sign-up.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) continues to closely monitor the situation surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19 and Delta variants). When it comes to decision-making, our commitment is always to protect the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs, as well as families and fans. We will continue to keep everyone up to date should the CDC and safety guidelines in Las Vegas alter the 2021 ITA Coaches Convention.
