Preparing for ITA Tournament Desk

The ITA is upgrading its technology systems, including displaying collegiate tennis tournament draws, dual match results, rankings, and team/player profiles to the public.

The ITA Tournament Desk allows a tournament host to:

  • Publish a tournament webpage
  • Create and publish draws
  • Create and publish match scheduling
  • Player communications (email and SMS)
  • Assign multiple tournament administrators
  • Print draws and schedules
  • Future: Live score integration
  • Future: Player rating integration.

The ITA and USTA use the same core tournament management system developed by ClubSpark.

However, the ITA Tournament Desk system is initially configured only for ITA sanctioned tournaments. All match results entered in the ITA Tournament Desk get added automatically to the ITA results repository. Hence, there is no need for coaches/SIDs to report results to the ITA after the tournament. Plus, players competing in ITA sanctioned tournaments are taken directly from their respective team's roster.

How does R2 compare with Tournament Desk?

What score entry shortcuts are available?

Score entry shortcuts

You can enter scores directly on the draw or from the matches tab in Tournament Desk.

If the score was 6-4, enter 4 (the system will assume the first player/team listed won 6-4). If the score was 4-6 hold down shift and press 4.

Shortcuts for alternative match outcomes

Walkover = ‘W’
Default = ‘D’ or ‘R’
Abandoned = ‘A’
Suspended = ‘A’ then ‘S’
